How Charities can benefit from MyGiftList.com
There are 3 main ways that charities can benefit from MyGiftList:
- Create a Gift List where you can list things that your organization needs.
- Get listed in the MyGiftList.com Charities Directory so that MGL members can easily add a donation to your charity as a gift item in their gift lists.
- Add the Add to MyGiftList button to your web site so that your web site visitors can easily add a donation to your charity as a gift item in their gift lists.
- Go to MyGiftList.com and select Create New Gift Registry
- Complete the Profile
- Login to your new Gift Registry
- Select Add a Gift and add items that your organization needs to your Gift Registry
- After you have added all your gift items, select Add a Gift Giver
- Enter Guest in the name field and YOUR email address and check every box for the Category of Giver question
- Click Update to add yourself as a Gift Giver
- Click the Send Invite button to send yourself and email with a key to your Gift List
- You will receive an email which contains a unique URL with the key that links
directly to your online Gift List. Add this URL link to your web page or email it to your members. This will allow visitors to jump right to your Gift List
- Go to MyGiftList.com and select Become an Affiliate
- Select Create New Affiliate Account and fill out the Profile
- Check the box which indicates you are a charity
- Make sure to enter the URL of your web site if you have one
- Make sure to enter the URL of the web page on your web site where visitors can donate online, if you have one
- Enter the URL with your key for your Gift List (created using directions above) when asked for the URL of Charity Gift List
- After signing up, we will review your profile for entry in the Charities Directory
- If you are approved, MyGiftList.com visitors will be able to view your Gift List, jump to your charity donation page, or add a donation to your charity as a gift in their Gift Lists from the Charities Directory web page
- Go to the MyGiftList.com Affiliate Center and login
- Go to the Level 2 Program and follow the instructions to add the Add to MyGiftList button to your web site
- Visitors to your site will now be able to add a donation to your charity to their Gift Lists directly from a link on your site
- In addition, you can access the other benefits of the MyGiftList.com Affiliate program like adding your logo and banner ads to the Gift Registries of any new members you refer to MyGiftList.com
